Luna Lunera Sauvignon Blanc

dhl_0001

Sauvignon Blanc is a green-skinned grape variety that originates from the city of Bordeaux in France. The grape most likely gets its name from the French words sauvage ("wild") and blanc ("white") due to its early origins as an indigenous grape in South West France. It is possibly a descendant of Savagnin. Sauvignon Blanc is planted in many of the world's wine regions, producing a crisp, dry, and refreshing white varietal wine.

“A story of many stories”. That’s Orígenes. Because this is the wine that gave rise to our Bodega. With it, our story began and, thanks to it, we have created more wines, more stories. Each one with its origin and personality. For all of these reasons, this wine is our insignia. And within it, the Tempranillo, Syrah and Cabernet gather together every year. To maintain style and quality; and set an example to the rest of its sibling wines. The way it feels makes it exemplary: intense in the nose, where the red fruits and light reminiscences of wood integrate perfectly. Also, in the mouth. Where it is a rounded and extremely pleasant wine.

It is everything you can ask of a wine.

Tasting notes

Bright pale yellow with steely legs. Good aromatic intensity, with citrus and tropical notes such as passion fruit and grapefruit, as well as herbal aromas of fennel. On the mouth are the same aromas experienced on the nose. It is a robust and very pleasant wine, with a marked acidity that provides freshness and vivacity, which is compensated with a slightly sweet finish at the same time. In short, a pleasant and fun wine that invites a second sip.

Food pairings:

This is a wine that can be enjoyed on its own as a drink or with appetisers and light dishes.

Wine Making

The must was obtained from gentle pressing and was fermented for 15 days at 14ºC. Pre-fermentation maceration was not carried out. Fermentation was stopped before reaching term in order to leave a small amount of residual sugar.

Luna Lunera

The vineyards that extend throughout our pasture are witness to an idyllic natural setting, removed from the bustle of the cities and, at the same time, full of life.

And it is in this magical enclave where the Luna Lunera range was born: a Sauvignon Blanc white wine and a Tempranillo + Syrah red wine that seek simplicity to harmonize starters with light wines.

Because wine doesn't have to be difficult, with this range we look for ideal wines to drink by the glass and enjoy with tapas or starters.

Luna Lunera is a success both in Spain and in other countries, and few can resist enjoying Luna Lunera at aperitif time.

Curiosities

Depending on the climate, the flavor can range from aggressively grassy to sweetly tropical. In cooler climates, the grape has a tendency to produce wines with noticeable acidity and "green flavors" of grass, green bell peppers and nettles with some tropical fruit (such as passion fruit) and floral (such as elderflower) notes. In warmer climates, it can develop more tropical fruit notes but risks losing much aroma from over-ripeness, leaving only slight grapefruit and tree fruit (such as peach) notes.

The pleasure is in enjoying each moment with all the senses
