El vino Orígenes cambia de imagen

La Roda (Albacete), January 2,020. Dehesa de Luna Finca Reserva de Biodiversidad begins the year with the new image of Origen, the first wine from the winery that was born in 2005 and that, now with the 2017 vintage, opens its label to convey its strong union with the countryside, the vineyard and the birds that live in this natural habitat.

Dehesa de Luna Origins 2017 begins the year 2020 with the update of its label that stars the red partridge, symbol of this wine, and one of the most appreciated birds that are born and live in Finca Dehesa de Luna. The red partridge and Origen have much in common. Origins is the standard wine of the winery and the red partridge is the most characteristic steppe bird of the Estate.

Dehesa de Luna Origins 2017 is made with Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah varieties - selected from two of the four vineyards created in Finca Dehesa de Luna - El Viñazo and La Mata de la Culebra. It is a round and pleasant wine that has remained six months in 225-liter French oak barrels. The 2017 vintage is the result of years of work in the vineyard and in the cellar to get a wine that reaches the consumer. This is the first wine that was born in the winery and “is the result of a history of many stories” as defined by José Luis Asenjo, technical director of the winery.

Dehesa de Luna Finca Reserva de Biodiversidad is inhabited by native fauna such as imperial eagles, bustards and azores, among other species. For this reason, each label is a tribute to the fauna that coexists with the Dehesa de Luna vineyard. A bird, a wine. The Gran Luna wine is represented by the imperial eagle, Dehesa de Luna Graciano is the protagonist of the royal kite and the white wine Garnacha Blanca is attached to the peregrine falcon, the raptor that stands out for its extreme speed.

Dehesa de Luna Finca Reserva de Biodiversidad has 3,000 hectares of land, of which almost 1,000 are dedicated to agriculture, and the remaining 2,000 hectares are made up of masses of Mediterranean forests and reforested plots with native species. The vineyard has 64 hectares divided into four plots: El Viñazo, La Mata de la Culebra, La Cañada del Navajo and La Noria de Luna.
